The Church as Partner
Proverbs 22:6; Matthew 19:13-14
6Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
13Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them. 14Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
My goal for this morning: to encourage all parents, guardians, grandparents, teachers, leaders, caring persons; and to pray over all of you.
Families - from then to now
Our “Chamily” - our church family (from our Jr. Highers)
What is the role of the church?
- For moms and dads
- Single parent moms or dads
- For kids of all ages
- For grandparents, guardians
- They need a good foundation
- They need a good root system
- They need an honest person of integrity
- They need some parameters - some discipline
- They need to hear I’m sorry
We need to model for them:
- Forgiveness
- Grace
- Unconditional love
- A life and lifestyle of godliness
- Sacrifice and Service
Prayer of Blessing
